A new partner of Glatzová & Co.

Effective from January 1, 2016, Senior Associate JUDr. Libor Němec, Ph.D. will become a new partner of Glatzová & Co. His practise deals primarily with banking & finance focusing on regulation of financial markets and arbitration & litigation.

Libor Němec is a lawyer at Glatzová & Co. since 2010. Since 2012 he has been working as a Senior Associate. Previously, he worked at the law firm Clifford Chance, he worked as the chief lawyer of the legislative and legal department of the Czech National Bank and the lawyer of the legislative and legal department of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also held the position of Secretary of the Presidium of the Securities Commission, and Vice Chairman of the Management Board of the Guarantee Fund of Securities Dealers. He graduated (summa cum laude), master's degree in law at the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague (2003), composed in 2005 at the same university and a rigorous exam in 2012. There he successfully completed a doctoral study program. He is co-author of commentaries on the law on Takeover Bids, the Business Corporations Act and currently co-authored involved in preparing comments on the Law on Bonds. He regularly publishes articles dealing with the regulation of financial services, securities and related matters in private and public law. He is a member of the Czech Bar Association and since 2007 the Appellate Committee of the Czech National Bank. Libor is a 2015 assessment by The Legal 500 leading lawyer in Banking & Finance and a recommended lawyer in Dispute Resolutions.
